This or That Book Tag

Happy Friday! I hope everyone is able to have a nice weekend. I wasn’t actually tagged in this, but I saw it on Lisa’s blog, WayTooFantasy, and I thought it looked fun! So, welcome to the This or That Book Tag.

Read on the bed or the couch?

This is a tough choice, but it’s a this or that, so I have to pick. I’ll go with couch, because if I read on bed, I risk falling asleep.

Read at night or in the morning?

Night for me. I work full-time, and I’m not an early bird, so I don’t wake up early enough to get any reading in. Most of my reading is done in the late afternoon tbh!

Male main character or female main character?

I’m going with female MC! As a woman, I do find it easier to relate to female characters.

First person POV or third person POV?

I’m not too fussed either way, but generally I read more third person.

Trilogies or quartets?

I don’t read many series at all! When I do, they tend to be trilogies though, so that’s my pick.

Libraries or bookstore?

Bookstore. Libraries are great, but I like to reread books, so I prefer to own them so I can keep them on my shelves.

Books that make you laugh or cry?

I have to go with laugh! It’s rare that a book can make me cry, so it would have to be especially upsetting.

Black book covers or white book covers?

OK, now this one I really don’t have a preference for. I probably have more white covers on my shelves, so if I absolutely have to pick I guess I’d go with that. But I’d prefer colour over black or white any day!

Character-driven or plot-driven?

Character-driven for me! I find that the best way to connect with a book is through the characters. I also feel like character-driven books offer some great opportunities to explore themes.

I’m tagging…

Anyone who wants to take part! Please link back to me if you saw this on my blog and decided to give it a go as a result 🙂
