The Last Ten Books Tag

Today I’m doing The Last Ten Books Tag! I was tagged by Margarida @ IcthusBookCorner, so thank you so much for thinking of me. Please check out IcthusBookCorner if you haven’t already.

The Last Book I Gave Up On

Unfortunately, I don’t think I really have an answer for this! I rarely DNF, I tend to abandon with the intent of returning to it later, so I’m reluctant to call that ‘giving up on’ the book as I still have hope I’ll return to it!

The Last Book I Reread

This is an easy one! Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier. I reread it in January for Let’s Get Classical Book Club and loved it just as much the second time around!

The Last Book I Bought

I’ve not bought any for a while, but one of the most recent ones I bought was Exciting Times by Naoise Dolan. But I think I actually bought that just after Christmas in the sales.

The Last Book I Said I Read But Didn’t

I don’t think I’ve ever done this! The closest I might come is saying that I’ve read a book when I’ve read parts of it. For example, I read some of the books of Paradise Lost for my University degree, so I might say I’ve read that to save explaining in more detail.

Last Book I Wrote in the Margins of

I don’t really write in the margins, instead I write on post-it notes, or just use sticky tabs! The last book I annotated was Why Marx Was Right by Terry Eagleton. I always find nonfiction and theory books are good to annotate!

Last Book That I Had Signed

I didn’t have this signed, per se, but the last signed book I got was Red at the Bone by Jacqueline Woodson. I didn’t realise that the book I’d ordered would be a signed copy, so I was excited to get that as a little bonus!

Last Book I Lost

Good question… I don’t remember ever losing a book!

Last Book I Had To Replace

Again, I don’t remember! I don’t reread a lot, so my books tend to stay in pretty good condition.

Last Book I Argued Over

Oh gosh, not sure on this either! I’m not a very argumentative person. I did disagree with my friends about both Sally Rooney books, Conversations with Friends and Normal People, but I wouldn’t call it an argument. Just a conversation with differing opinions!

Last Book You Pre-Ordered

I rarely preorder, so it’s lucky I have an answer for this! The most recent one I preordered was Klara and the Sun by Kazuo Ishiguro. It came out March 2nd, so I have it now! Exciting!
