Autumn Reading Tag

Any books mentioned where I have previously received PR products (free review copies) from the publisher will be marked with [PR relationship].

Welcome back! Today I’m doing the Autumn Reading Tag. I was tagged (as I so often am) by Danni @ ForBooksSake. If you’re a regular reader of my blog and you haven’t checked hers out yet, please get on it! And if you’re new here, still get on it because her blog is so fun.

Without further ado, let’s get into the tag!

Hot Chocolate – what is your comfort book?
[PR relationship] The Book Thief by Markus Zusak! It’s one of my absolute favourites, and I’ve read it so many times.

Pumpkin Carving – what is your favourite creative outlet?
My blog is probably my favourite creative outlet to be honest, but I like writing of all kinds, not just blogging!

Falling Leaves – changes that appear bad but you secretly love?
Tricky question!! Not sure I can think of any really. I’m not a fan of change!

Pumpkin Spiced Latte – something you love that others tend to judge
I used to get judged a lot for being a big Taylor Swift fan, but now a lot more people are on the Taylor bandwagon, so I don’t get judged much anymore which is great!

Autumn Reading Tag

Bonfire Night – what makes you explode with joy?
Seeing my boyfriend again after ages apart! We’re long distance at the minute due to COVID and because of that and my job, we don’t get to see each other that often.

Fright Night – favourite scary book or film
I’ve not seen/read much scary stuff because it’s not really my thing! Maybe Alien though, that is an amazing film.

Halloween candy – favourite thing to eat
If we’re going down the candy/sweets route, then I love boiled sweets. I also love jelly sweets, but it’s a struggle to find veggie ones sometimes. I can always rely on Percy Pigs though!

Scarves – your autumn ‘must have’ accessory
It’s gotta be a scarf!! I have some scarves that I absolutely love, and I get excited when it’s time to get them out again.

Fire – a book or film that burns your soul
Not sure what this is asking…? Burns as in something that is really romantic and passionate? Or burns as in it’s painful to read/watch? I definitely can’t think of anything for the first because I hate romance, but for the second one maybe [PR relationship] The Book Thief again because it’s so heartbreaking.

Toffee apples – a book or film that seems one thing but really has a different inside
The Dutch House by Ann Patchett, which I thought was going to be about Dutch painters and instead it was about an American real estate investor and his fixation with his childhood home… (I swear it’s way more interesting than I just made it sound!)
