Summer Bucketlist Tag!

I have previously received PR products from Penguin and HarperCollins. Images used in this post contain Girl, Woman, Other, and To the Lighthouse which are published by Penguin. Books mentioned which are published by Penguin/HarperCollins are marked [PR relationship]. This is based on the edition I own/read.

I was tagged by Danni @ ForBooksSake to do this tag! Thank you Danni!

The Rules

Link back to the original creator in your post.
Feel free to use any of my (the creator’s) graphics in your post, or create your own!
Tag 5 other people at the end of your post, and let them know you’ve tagged them.

Hit The Beach – A Book Set By The Sea

I’m going to go for Outline by Rachel Cusk, which isn’t set entirely by the sea, but a lot of it takes place close to the sea!

Watch Fireworks – A Book That Had A Fiery Romance

I don’t really read much romance, so this is tricky… Dominicana perhaps fits, with Ana and César’s romance.

Go For A Road Trip – A Book That Involves A Journey

Either of the above two could fit this! So many books I’ve read feature a journey of some kind it’s hard to pick just one. I’ll go for a classic, and say [PR relationship] The Hobbit.

Camp Under The Stars – A Book That Had You Starstruck

Ooh, love this! The first one that comes to mind is Pride and Prejudice.

Marathon Some Movies – A Book You Couldn’t Put Down

[PR relationship] Girl, Woman, Other by Bernadine Evaristo. I did have to put it down as it’s fairly long, but had I had the time I’m sure I could’ve sat and read the whole thing in one sitting.

Go Out For Ice Cream – A Book With A Sweet Romance

Again, I’m really not one for romance! The Buried Giant by Kazuo Ishiguro has a really lovely relationship between the protagonists (an elderly married couple) though, so I’m going with that.

Summer Bucketlist Tag
I have previously received PR products from Penguin, who published To the Lighthouse and Girl, Woman, Other.

Picnic In The Park – A Book That Was A Breath Of Fresh Air

[PR relationship] After Dark by Haruki Murakami, because it was a really quick read, and I love to read something refreshingly strange!

Go For A Hike – A Character Who Conquered An Obstacle

[PR relationship] Daisy Jones from Daisy Jones and the Six! Admittedly, she also kind of created a lot of obstacles for herself, but the main thing is that she overcame most of them.

Grill Some BBQ – A Book Featuring Delicious Food

Can I name cookbooks for this? The Deliciously Ella cookbook is a great vegan cookbook that I want to try a lot more recipes from soon!

Watch The Sunrise – A Book That Inspired You

So many options here! Many of the ones I’ve already mentioned could go here. I’m going to go with an all-time favourite of mine that really inspires me creatively and say [PR relationship] To the Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf.

As summer is almost over, I’m not going to tag anyone specifically, but if you like the look of this tag and want to have a go after reading my answers, please feel free to have a go and link back to me!
