Ten Bookish Questions Tag!

I have previously received PR products from Penguin. Images used in this post contain Gravity’s Rainbow and Girl, Woman, Other, which are published by Penguin.

It’s time for another tag! I’m now being tagged in these at a more reasonable rate, so hopefully if anyone wants to tag me in anything it won’t take me a month to post my response any more! Today I’m doing the Ten Bookish Questions Tag. I was tagged by Danni @ ForBooksSake. If you haven’t already, please check out her amazing blog!

How many books do you currently own?
This is actually impossible for me to answer, because my books are a bit scattered! According to GoodReads, it’s 519, but I that’s probably lowballing it.

How many books are you currently reading?
Two! I have a long term project ((I have previously received PR products from Penguin) Gravity’s Rainbow) going on at the moment. Usually, I’m only reading one at a time.

Choose a couple of books you read but didn’t enjoy?
Mostly Hero by Anna Burns is a recent one. I usually like the books I read, though, so I’ll have to go and do a deep dive to find the second… According to GoodReads, I also rated A Certain Slant of Light by Laura Whitcomb really low. I remember being disappointed by that book, because I love the poem its title comes from!

A cover buy?
Hamnet by Maggie O’Farrell!

A book you haven’t read in years?
(I have previously received PR products from Penguin) The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. I read it in around 2013, and I remember going to an advance screening of it and sobbing.

10 bookish questions
I have previously received PR products from Penguin, who published Girl, Woman, Other and Gravity’s Rainbow

A book you will always recommend?
There are a few! Of ones I’ve read in the last few weeks, I’d say (I have previously received PR products from Penguin) Girl, Woman, Other by Bernadine Evaristo.

All time favourite book series?
I don’t read that many series, but I did really like The Hunger Games as a teen!

Where do you read?
Sofa or bed mostly!

What are the last two books you gave a 5 star rating?
According to GoodReads, it was Citizen: An American Lyric by Claudia Rankine, and Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. I don’t often give out 5 stars!

  1. Omg I was just thinking about The Fault in Our Stars the other day because I think I want to re-read it soon since I haven’t picked it up since… 2013? This was such a fun tag, loved reading your answers 🙂
