You might’ve noticed that my most recent review had a different title to usual, and I did make a brief mention of this in one of my other recent posts. Nothing too scary is happening, but I thought to make it a little easier to navigate my blog, I’d split my reviews down into different categories. This is primarily helpful for me, to be honest, to have a bit of a visual of what type of books I’m reviewing most often to make sure I have a balance. The categories are as follows:
Latest Releases: Pretty self-explanatory! This category will include ARCs, and any book released in roughly the last twelve months (obviously based on when the review is posted).
Classics Catchups: One of the main things I want to focus on with my reading is reading more classics. Classics, modern classics, all are welcome in this category. My most recent review, for Strangers on a Train, falls into this category.
Ellie Loves: This one’s for anything in-between! It’s not a classic yet, and it’s not a new release, but I loved it anyway and wanted to share my thoughts on it with you all.
I also want to branch out a little bit with my reviews into other forms of media, if I’m feeling brave! I think those would probably be Monday bonus posts, rather than replacing my weekly book reviews, but I guess you never know, if I’ve not read much that week, then I might change my mind on that!
The final point of this post (god this is a short one for me) is a thank you to everyone reading this. A month and a half ago, I was just getting into a posting routine, and I had hardly any views. Now, I’ve gained around 200 followers on WordPress, several hundred across twitter and instagram, and I’m on track for well over 1,000 views on my blog this month. I’m very grateful to everyone who’s followed, liked, commented and shared my writing to help me grow this little project. I’m very excited to see where the next few months will take me!
Congrats! That is exciting!

Loves this! It’s always so much fun to be able to break your content up into different categories. It helps with blog titles too, lol. I could definitely see you doing book review things on Instagram if you aren’t already, or even Youtube! It seems like the mass growth of Booktube during lockdown, haha. Whatever you do, I know it will be amazing.

Thank you so much! I’m not sure I’m comfortable enough in front of a camera to do YouTube, but I do post mini-reviews on Instagram and I’m hoping to do more of those ☺️
